INTRODUCTION
In many high traffic areas of a building, door sets more than any other structural element are subjected to unacceptable levels of punishing treatment.

DESCRIPTION
Sealmaster door edge protectors are designed to mimimise maintenance costs usually associated with lipping repair when doorsets are subjected to excessive impact and stress. The specially designed profiles contain intumescent fire and smoke seals and have been successfully tested to BS476: Part 22 for 30 and 60 minutes fire resistance.

ApplicatioN AND PERFORMANCE
Sealmaster door edge protectors are available in rounded profiles to help deflect traffic likely to impact against the door edges. The alternative flat profile design can accommodate cut outs for locks and other door ironmongery fittings. Both profiles are designed to facilitate simple replacement of smoke seal inserts in the event of damage. Non-fire rated versions are also available offering similar protection against impact and stress but for applications where fire protection is not a requirement.

All the product versions are suitable for closing, hanging or meeting stile applications. Available in 2100mm lengths in satin anodised finish as standard, Sealmaster door edge protectors can also be supplied, to order, in a range of anodised or coloured finishes.

AUTHORITY
Successful independent fire testing has been undertaken at TRADA on single acting fire resisting doorsets.
